was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent 14 years in the Marine Corps and now resides in Brook Park with his wife. They have 2 children. He holds a B.F.A in Ceramics and also has a minor in glass from the Cleveland Institute of Art and has his Masters of Fine Art with a concentration in Ceramics from Kent State University. RKG Pottery is located in mid Ohio, where Richard and his wife Kim built a studio and wood fire kiln. They fire the kiln quarterly. Richard currently teaches Ceramics at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, Ohio.
